“Sabi ko Daddy, it’s time for you to go. Mission accomplished ka na. Nagawa mo na lahat para sa aming mga magkakapatid. (You have done everything for us your children),” Revilla said in his Facebook live on Sunday.
“Napagsilbihan mo rin ang bayan. Nagawa mo rin ang lahat ng mga gusto mong gawin kaya (You have also served the country. You were also able to do the things you want to do that’s why) it’s time for you to go home. I’ll just see you in heaven,” Revilla further said.
It was on Friday, June 26 when Revilla announced his father passed away due to heart failure.
The older Revilla, whose real name was Jose Bautista, was able to spend Father’s Day at home with his family. He fathered at least 72 children.
The senator extolled that his father’s passing, though painful, is a celebration of his legacy.
“Maaaring ‘di po siya perpektong tao, ‘di po siya perpektong ama pero napakabuti niya pong tao at may puso. (He may not be a perfect person. He is not a perfect father, but he is a good person with a good heart),” the lawmaker said.
Likewise, he thanked all the people who condoled with their family.
“Masakit mawalan ng ama, ulila na pong lubos dahil wala na rin po ang aking mommy (It hurts to lose a father, we are now orphans because I have also lost my mother),” he said.
“Pero ganoon talaga. Sabi nga ang bawat tao may kaniya-kaniyang oras, may kaniya-kaniyang panahon. Lahat tayo doon din tutungo, it’s just a matter of kung ano ‘yong maiiwan mo na legacy (But that’s the way it is. As they said, each person has his own time. We will go there. It’s just a matter of knowing what kind of legacy you will leave behind),” the senator stressed.
