According to Taguig’s Safe City Task Force, the Taguig Hall of Justice announced “that all courts and offices will be temporarily closed from June 25 to July 9 after members of the judiciary and several court employees reported possible exposure of several of their colleagues to a positive case. Court operations and other services will continue online.”
In a memorandum issued by the Office of the Executive Judges of the Taguig Hall of Justice on Thursday, June 25, it said a court employee tested positive through rapid testing and is awaiting result of a swab test.
“We are also in close coordination with the City Government of Taguig through its Safe City Task Force and the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit for safety protocols and health related assistance,” the memo read.
It said “a community swab testing for all court judges and employees of Taguig Hall of Justice including security guards are presently being arranged at the soonest possible time.”
All judges and personnel of the Taguig Hall of Justice will be under self-quarantine for 14 days starting June 25 until July 9 based on Supreme Court protocols.
“Taguig City will make sure that the needed support and assistance will be provided to enable the courts to better manage any COVID-19 cases and prevent an outbreak. We thank them for welcoming our effort,” the memo read.
On Wednesday (June 24), the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) trading floor and head office in Bonifacio Global City was closed for decontamination after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
“Traders who have been reporting at the trading floor since June 1 were advised to continue trading offsite while employees will still be on an alternative work setup. Trading floor operations and on-site work for select employees will resume tomorrow, June 26, 2020,” according to a PSE memorandum issued on June 25.
The Taguig City government said it has coordinated with the PSE for the safety of its employees and other workers.
“Together with PSE safety officers, the local government will facilitate contact-tracing and disinfection of the premises.
Taguig has also coordinated with the national testing center at the Enderun Colleges in McKinley Hill to conduct PCR test on PSE employees who physically report to the PSE offices beginning with the frontline staff and will provide vehicles to transport them,” according to Taguig Safe City Task Force.
