Access roads leading to Pangasinan tourism sites nearing completion – De Venecia

DAGUPAN CITY – Construction of several access roads leading to tourism sites in the fourth district of Pangasinan are about to be completed, according to Pangasinan Rep. Christopher De Venecia.

De Venecia said that, once completed, these projects will help his constituents with the additional jobs that will be generated, as well as added revenue for more families.

The projects were started before the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis broke out in March.

De Venecia said he has talked with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Tourism (DOT) to underscore the need to complete the projects.

“Ang mga ahensyang ito ang nagpondo sa mga nasabing proyekto sa pamamagitan ng programang Tourism Road Infrastructure Prioritization Convergence Program o TRIPC.” he said.

Some projects that were already completed were the road going to growth center of Dagupan and Esplanade at Boardwalk in Barangay Pantal worth P75-million; the San Jacinto – Manaoag road from Dagupan City going to Basilica and Virgin’s well worth P152.4 million; and Urdaneta- Manaoag road going to Basilica and Virgin’s well worth P237.5 million.

Ongoing were the projects on the access road going to San Fabian Beach; the access road to the construction site of the Angalacan River Ecotourism Park in Mangaldan; access road going Tondaligan Park in Dagupan City; Sta. Barbara-Mapandan to Manaoag road going to Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine and Pandan Avenue and Fire Tree Avenue going to Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine.
