The National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) will not be accepting walk-in consultations temporarily due to continuing threats of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a statement, the NKTI on Tuesday said for the meantime, they will not accept walk-in consultations for their private and service patients. The patients were instead advised to set an appointment with their doctors through online or phone before coming to the hospital.
The NKTI’s trunk line is 8-981-0300. The local hotline for out-patient division is 1122 and 1123, for diagnostic center is 2451 and 2458 and for emergency room (ER) is 2408.
“You may also contact our Information Desk at 8-981-0300 local 1015 or email us at [email protected] for more questions you might have about the ‘new normal’ at NKTI,” the NKTI said.
“NKTI is currently adjusting our processes to continuously serve our patients while the country is still under the threat of COVID-19,” the facility explained.
However, for patients who need immediate medical attention, it added, they “may proceed to ER for treatment.”
On the other hand, NKTI said swab COVID-19 testing is “currently available for our admitted and ER patients only” while “rapid testing is not available in our facility.”
Patients and their relatives must undergo triaging and screening process before entering the facility.
