Santiago City, Isabela records one new COVID-19 case

By Liezle Basa Inigo ISABELA – A returning overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was the latest coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case in Santiago City, which went with any coronavirus case for 49 days. The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 confirmed Thursday, June 18, that Patient 45 was a 24-year-old man, married and resident of Balintocatoc, Santiago City. It was learned that the OFW arrived from Saudi Arabia in Manila on June 11, and proceeded to his hometown in Santiago City on June 15. Due to strict protocols in the City, the OFW was ordered to go directly to a quarantine facility in Santiago City. The results of the swab test came out Thursday, which showed him positive for COVID- 19. He was asymptomatic and was transferred to the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC).
