DOLE opens online facility for common transactions

By Leslie Ann G. Aquino Workers and employers in Metro Manila can now electronically file their labor-related requests amid the prevailing community quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Department of Labor and Employment (MANILA BULLETIN) Department of Labor and Employment (MANILA BULLETIN) In a statement, the Department of Labor and Employment - National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) said through the newly launched e-Filing Services, a client will now be able to register or fill-out forms for free; submit applications or monitoring reports; request permits or certifications; or submit other DOLE-related documents in a secure online environment. To access the electronic filing facility, one should simply visit the DOLE-NCR’s official website at https://ncr.dole.gov.ph or at https://tinyurl.com/dolencr-efiling. Clients may then select from the following e-Filing Services provided, such as: Request for Assistance; Request for Certificate of Involuntary Separation for SSS; Registration of Establishment under Rule 1020; Registration of Job, Service Contractor, Subcontractor; Construction Safety and Health Program Application (Simplified); Construction Safety and Health Program Application (Comprehensive); Request for Technical Safety Inspection; Annual Medical Report; Report of Safety Organization; Application for DOLE Clearance (Certificate of No Pending Case); and Application for DOLE Clearance (Certificate of No Pending Case on Child Labor). Once a service has been selected, DOLE said, clients will then be directed to an online form that will require a Google (G-mail) account to access. The form also features: an option to attach or upload required documents and, an automated acknowledgement receipt that are sent via client’s registered e-mail address. After submitting the online form, DOLE-NCR will get in touch for updates through the client’s registered e-mail address, telephone, or mobile number. The Labor department, however, reminded those who will avail themselves of said service to first read its Data Privacy Consent Notice at the beginning page of the form before registering their e-mail addresses. The DOLE-NCR also said that they shall only attend to any electronic filing submissions during office hours, from Monday to Friday, AM to 5 PM.
