According to the resolution authored by City councilor Elgin Damasco, the declaration of persona non grata would bar Balonglong from entering the city.
The declaration came after it was pointed out during a regular session of the city council that Balonglong would be facing from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
"The investigation recommended filing of investigation before the NBI, DENR, and Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD),” City Councilor Victor Oliveros said.
On Independence Day, the city government confirmed the relief of Balonglong, following a gun- pointing incident involving Balonglong, who allegedly threatened DENR personnel for trying to serve notices on illegal settlers in Sitio Bucana, Barangay Matahimik here.
