2.6-km C3-R10 section of NLEX Harbor Link opens to motorists today

"The completion of the 2.6-kilometer new section will provide direct access between R10 in Navotas City and NLEX. This is the first project to be completed under the General Community Quarantine," Villar said. The C3-R10 section of the NLEX Harbor Link also includes three exit off-ramps namely: Segment 10-C3 Ramp to Caloocan City, Dagat-Dagatan Ramp to Malabon City, and C3-R10 Ramp to Navotas City. Villar said motorists including truckers or cargo haulers going to and from the port of Manila and NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) will benefit from the opening of C3-R10 section as it extends the existing 5.65-kilometer NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 that passes through Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, Governor Pascual Avenue in Malabon City, and 5th Avenue/C3 Road, Caloocan City bypassing the busy Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Balintawak Toll Plaza. Travel time from Manila to Quezon City will be reduced from two hours to only 15 to 20 minutes,” Villar added. He also said that up to 50,000 vehicles, mostly trucks, are seen to traverse the NLEX Harbor Link every day, which will significantly help in decongesting traffic in Metro Manila. Villar commended the 2,000 construction workers whot resumed work in May, 2020, completing the project in time. Included under the administration’s Build, Build, Build infrastructure program, the ₱6.55-billion NLEX Harbor Link Project was undertaken by Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) with its subsidiary NLEX Corporation as builder concessionaire and operator. The elevated expressway is among the key infrastructure projects under the administration's "Build, Build, Build" program.
