CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – Two drug suspects, who tried to resist arrest by shooting it out with the police, were killed in separate anti-illegal drugs operation early Sunday in Imus City, and late Saturday in Cavite City, the Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported.
The PPO identified the fatalities as Adonis Paloma Manalac in Cavite City, and Jenel Jimenez in Imus City.
A police report showed that Manalac shot it out with a Cavite City police team, which was about to arrest him after a buy-bust operation in Barangay 48-A at past 11 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect suffered bullet wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Bautista Hospital in Cavite City.
Recovered from the shootout scene were the suspect’s .22 cal. revolver with five shells in its barrel, crumpled P100-bills that was used as buy-bust money, and a small sachet containing shabu worth P2,040.
In another incident, PPO also reported that Jimenez traded shots with the Imus police team in a buy-bust operation on Palanas Road in Barangay Buhay na Tubig early Sunday morning.
The suspect died on the spot from gunshot wounds. Recovered from him were a .38 cal. revolver with four bullets in its barrel, shabu and the buy-bust money.
The two deaths brought to four the number of drug-related shootout fatalities in Cavite province in two days.
