“We acknowledge the need of businessmen and of our people to work and earn especially in this period that we allow more industries and establishments to operate under GCQ, provided that we ensure the implementation of safety protocols as directed by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases,” Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said.
“Providing these processes for them to be productive in this period is important because we came from the stricter enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and then the modified ECQ. During those two periods (ECQ and MECQ), several work and business operations were suspended, resulting to diminished and even lost incomes for many people,” Mayor Emi added.
The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), said that amid the current situation, they request the strict implementation of No Contact Policy.
BPLO Officer-In-Charge Elenita Salgado, in a communication to City Administrator Atty. Dennis Acorda, laid down the following plans and strategies of her office as the city transitioned from Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) into General Community Quarantine (GCQ) effective on Monday, June 1.
All transaction will be on the windows/counters only; Employees will be on skeleton workforce and have a schedule of duty; BPLO has installed plastic covers (barriers) for the safety of the employees and marked the places or spots where the clients will be staying to observe proper social distancing; Only applicants with online registration and application for Business and Occupational permit will be entertained at BPLO.
The Online processes may be transacted through designated sites. For business permits, they can have their account registration at https://eodbbusiness.pasay.gov.ph/ and for the application of permit they can log on to https://eodbbusiness.pasay.gov.ph/Account/Login.
Those acquiring occupational permits, they may log on to https://eodbbusiness.pasay.gov.ph:1024/ for account registration and https://eodbbusiness.pasay.gov.ph:1025/ for application of permit,
For walk-in applicants who are not capable of registering online, the BPLO aims to install one or two PC terminals to cater to them.
The online occupational permit application ordered implemented by Mayor Emi beginning in February of this year, as well as the online business permit processing, are among the major components of the Ease of Doing Business campaign in Pasay City.
