"This is not really an actual dress... It is just a plain protection lab gown creatively draped and styled on mannequin to make it look like a high fashion dress for our amazing medical frontliners fighting for COVID-19 in UAE," Cinco wrote.
He said that the project, A Thread for Cause, was initiated by Arab Fashion Council and Dubai Health Ministry. The initiative calls for UAE-based designers to help out in producing personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers who are in the front line of the battle against COVID-19.
"This is our own small way of serving the Dubai community and giving back gratitude to the UAE government," Cinco added.
Cinco established his fashion line in Dubai in 2003. His notable clients include international celebrities like Britney Spears, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Tyra Banks, Christina Aguilera, and Jennifer Lopez among others.
