At present, Año said that the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) is finalizing the guidelines for the resumption of the operation of golf courses in GCQ areas.

In order to operate, the lockers in the golf clubs should not be used since physical distancing will be violated when the players merge in the area.

With regards to the elderly golfers, Año said in an interview over GMA News said they will be allowed to play only if they do not pose any health risks.

He added that the senior golfers must fill-up a waiver specifying their health conditions.

Año said that the golfers must also proceed directly to the golf area if they intend to play.

He also stressed that the MECQ has only a slight difference from the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) where some businesses will be allowed to operate.

Since public transport remains unavailable, the said companies are compelled to provide shuttle services to their employees.

In areas placed under the GCQ, Año said that the workers need to bring their identification cards (IDs) or certification of employment in going to their workplaces to avoid any inconvenience at the checkpoints since mass transportation will now be available.
