LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Two suspects included in the list of Most Wanted Persons in Kalinga and Benguet provinces were arrested by the Police Regional Office- Cordillera (PROCOR).
After almost 10 months of continuous surveillance, the No. 9 most wanted in Kalinga province, Abraham Laguitao Gunnawa, finally landed in jail after his capture in Bayaba, Dilag, Tabuk City.
Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director Col. Davy Vicente Limmong said Gunnawa, a farmer and a resident of Tuliao, Calanan, Tabuk City, was facing charges for homicide and violation of Presidential Decree 705 (Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines) with a recommended bail bond of P120,000 for each case.
The successful arrest of Gunnawa was made after the implementation of a warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Jerson E. Angog, Presiding Judge, RTC, 2nd Judicial Region, Branch 25, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
In Benguet, Jhony Manman Abance, the province’s no. 1 most wanted for the first quarter of 2019 was collared in Ampasit, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Provincial Director Police Colonel Elmer Ragay said Abance was facing charges for three counts of rape after he allegedly abused a 16-year-old student on October 19, 2018.
Abance’s warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Marietta S. Brawner-Cualing, presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 9, Family Court for Benguet Province, La Trinidad Benguet.
