Azurin is new PRO-1 director

Rodolfo Santos Azurin Jr. was installed as the new Director of Philippine National Police (PNP) Office Region 1 (PRO-1), effective May 10. Gen. Joel S Orduña who served as PRO-1 director for 12 months. Azurin was thankful for the chance to lead PRO-1, and emphasized that, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, there was a need to adopt extraordinary approaches to deliver services to the community. The turn-over of command was held May 10 at the Concord Building here. Azurin assured an aggressive partnership with the community to achieve development. Azurin is a member of PMA Makatao Class of 1989. He was the director of the PNP Maritime Group before his designation as the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1.
