Known for being tech-savy, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto knows where to turn to for help in getting information on how to get plastic materials for their quarantine facility.

(KEVIN TRISTAN ESPIRITU / MANILA BULLETIN) Instead of spending possibly countless hours thinking of a solution, Sotto crowdsourced it via Twitter. “Phase1 of our new Centralized Quarantine Facility is near ready. Problema lang, wala kaming mahanap na PLASTIC para sa room dividers (The only problem is we can’t seem to find a source of plastic for the dividers),” he tweeted. The Pasig Mayor also posted about the facility’s steel frames with the hashtag #Twittersourcing. In jest, Sotto said that he was aware that there are many “plastik” (fake) people in government, but they weren’t looking for that kind of plastic. Sotto aside from utilizing social media in informing his constituents about the developments in Pasig, has also shown willingness to incorporate new technology in the city government’s projects and services.#
