Ateneo de Davao emerges with highest passing rate in 2019 bar exams

DAVAO CITY - Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) posted an 88.64 percent overall passing rate, making it the top performing school in the 2019 Bar Examination.

Based on the data posted by the AdDU on its official Facebook page on May 1, AdDU ranked first in the roster of the top performing universities in the 2019 Bar exam with 39 of its graduates passing the bar exams out of 44 takers.

University of the Philippines came in second with a passing rate of 83.93 percent, while Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) was third with 82.73 percent. San Beda College came in fourth with a 76.31-percent passing rate, and University of San Carlos was fifth with 72.97 percent.

AdDU also registered a passing rate of 91.67 percent for first time takers, with 33 passers out of 36 takers.

A total of 2,103 out of 7,685 Bar examinees who took the 2019 Bar exam passed, which translated to a nationwide passing rate of 27.36 percent.

This was higher compared to the 22.07 percent passing rate recorded in the 2018 Bar exams.
