(Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Rojas said it took him 11 years before he was finally able to pursue his law studies at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). “Grumaduate po ako ng UP (University of the Philippines) nung 2004, nag-start ako ng law school 2015 lang po,” Rojas told DZMM in an interview Wednesday. Rojas said he had to postpone his dream of becoming a lawyer due to financial problems. “Kung ako lang yung mag dedecide, mga 2004 or 2005 dapat nag start na ako ng law school, kaso may money problems po yung family that time,” he said. The 36-year-old said he had to postpone his dream of pursuing law so his other siblings can continue their studies. Come 2015, Rojas, with his wife’s guidance, finally decided to take up law at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Rojas said he had to juggle work and studies at the same time because he had to provide for his family while going after his dream. “Kailangan ko po mag trabaho at gusto ko rin maging abogado, di pwedeng mamili ng isa,” he said. Finally in 2020, Rojas achieved what he wanted for a long time. Rojas not only passed the Bar examinations, he also landed in the top 10 passers and made history for his alma mater. Rojas became PUP’s first law graduate to break in to the Bar exams' Top Ten. Read more: UST-Legazpi law graduate lands on top of 2,103 bar passers
