By Joseph Pedrajas There is no truth to the video posted by Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda, which showed that people were flocking at the Divisoria Market and going against the social distancing measures, an official of the local government of Manila said Saturday, April 18. Screencap from Facebook via Joseph Pedrajas/MANILA BULLETIN) (Screencap from Facebook via Joseph Pedrajas/MANILA BULLETIN) Cesar Chavez, the chief of staff of Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, said in a Viber group with reporters that Salceda made a "mistake" when he claimed that the video, which showed an aerial view of crowd of people and several vehicles, was taken in Divisoria at 7 a.m. of April 18. "Fake news ang post ni Cong. Joey Salceda...” Chavez said in a Facebook post. “Ginamit na rin ito ni Sec. Teddy Boy Locsin noong April 15. Pareho pong old video," he added The post was immediately taken down by Salceda upon being informed by Chavez. He also said he was “sorry it caused harm but not intended." Salceda in a subsequent Facebook post explained that he just "got it from a Viber group of reputable businessmen." "Lesson learned: if you can not verify, don't post," he added. On the other hand, Locsin of the Department of Foreign Affairs also admitted on Saturday that what he posted in April was “fake news.” “Ignore this s**t. I will ask my friend why he posted it. This is not true,” he said in a Twitter post.
