The Philippine Airlines has provided a new uniform for its cabin crew assigned to special flights to protect them from COVID-19 infection.

PAL Spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the uniforms were made in collaboration with renowned fashion designer Edwin Tan.
In a Facebook post, Villaluna praised Tan’s creation, saying the latter was able to “fuse the elements of protection, comfort, and PAL bonding.”
“While these garments serve primarily to protect our crew, having the right fit is essential to enable them to carry out their functions with ease. Fit and function have indeed been achieved,” Villaluna said.
Tan, for his part, said he used a non-porous material for the uniforms, “to give it a better fall than generic PPEs.”
As for the design, Tan said: "The detail is a subtle branding for PAL. We didn’t have time to print or embroider so we came up with the idea of mimicking or reworking the ‘flag’ logo of PAL."
Eventually, Villanluna said “a single, branded look will fill up” PAL's special flights.#
