Dumaguete City mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, chairman of the Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19, inspected the isolation facility with 40 cubicles which is now ready to accept persons with ILI.
The center is equipped with the necessary equipment for proper management of the patients, including sanitation tents, disinfection system, and nurse’s station with computers. The City also provided the center with 24-hour health workers, food, wide screen monitor cable TV, and internet access.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah Talla, no person under monitoring (PUM) has exhibited influenza-like illness and there are no more PUMs in 22 of the 30 component barangays in the city.
Remollo is optimistic that if the public will continue to cooperate with the authorities by following the stay-at-home policy of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the city will remain free from the local transmission of COVID-19.
