IATF thanks donors to PH's fight vs COVID-19

(SCREENSHOT / RTVM / FACEBOOK / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) In a virtual presser Sunday, Cabinet Secretary and IATF spokesman Karlo Nograles thanked, in particular, the Republic of Korea for donating US$500,000 worth of COVID-19 testing kits to the Philippines. Nograles likewise thanked the government of the United States of America, the government of the People's Republic of China, and the government of Japan for the help they extended to the Philippines, something he did not specify. The Palace official also expressed the government's gratitude to international organizations like Americares, the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO), USAid, and World Vision. The IATF also thanked local private companies who and other groups who helped the country and Filipinos in the fight against COVID-19: * The Aboitiz Group * Bounty Fresh * The Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce * Indian Chamber of Commerce * FilInvest Group * Gokongwei Group * International Container Terminals Services, Inc. * LBC * LT Group * Megaworld Group * MVP Group * San Miguel Corporation * SM Group * Unilab * Uratex Group, and * Wilcon, among others "Maraming maraming salamat po. Thank you very much," Nograles said. In a public address last month, President Duterte expressed his gratitude to the private persons and entities and foreign governments who extended assistance to the fight against COVID-19.
