Residents of Pampanga and Tarlac can now dial #1232, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) hotline that will exclusively cater to their health and emergency concerns.
The Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone officials launched on Tuesday the COVID-19 hotline to help curb the spread of the new coronavirus.
A customer experience company in Clark Global City, TaskUs was tapped by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) to operate inquiries from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
"Clark’s emergency hotline #1232 (#1CDC) will now have a dedicated prompt that will exclusively cater to COVID-19 concerns. Pressing no. 1 after hearing the main voice prompt, calls will be received and entertained by hotline operators who are capable of answering basic inquiries regarding COVID-19," CDC said in a report from ABS-CBN News.
The emergency hotline will serve as an immediate emergency response that will help contain the spread of the new coronavirus.
"They may, in turn, direct them to nurses and medical staff at CDC Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) to address more specific concerns. HSD staff will be on hand to help assess medical conditions of persons having flu-like symptoms and will advise them of home quarantine procedures," CDC added.
This will also lessen the people who are going out following the Luzon-wide community quarantine, said CDC.
The enhanced community quarantine in the entire Luzon was extended until April 30.
