The Las Piñas City Health Office (LPCHO) has reported 45 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city, up from 42 last April 4.
Three new cases were identified on April 7; and with no new death reported, the death toll remains at four. The city continues to monitor persons under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs).
Based on their records, the number of PUIs decreased from 56 to 54, while the number of PUMs increased from 294 to 301.
The city health office also reported the following affected barangays in the city with COVID-19 cases:
BF International CAA and Talon Dos: 6 each; Pilar, 5; Manuyo Dos, 4; Pamplona Uno, Dos, and Zapote, 3 each; Pamplona Tres, Pulanglupa Dos, and Talon Kuatro, 2 each; and Almanza Uno, Daniel Fajardo, E. Aldana, Pulanglupa Uno, and Talon Uno, 1 each.
Upon receiving the report showing the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the city, Mayor Imelda Aguilar called on residents to help the city government contain the disease by following health protocols.
Aguilar said the city government posts on their Face Book page everyday the schedule of areas where the City Environment and Natural Resources office will conduct disinfection.
She also appealed to city residents to conduct disinfection inside their homes.
