However, in a Facebook announcement, the city government said anyone suspecting they have symptoms of the virus can call hotline number 8236-5790 and they will be picked up by an ambulance and personnel in protective gear to bring them to the hospital.
The Ospital ng Makati (OSMAK) also came out with an advisory informing city residents seeking medical attention to refrain from going to their outpatient department without first setting an appointment.
OSMAK said those seeking medical attention should first call telephone number 8882-6316 local 421,422, or 429, or text 0956-251-7000 for Globe and 0931-056-7558 for Sun, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to set an appointment.
Hospital personnel will call the residents to remind them of their appointments on or earlier than the scheduled date.
OSMAK said the guidelines were made for patient safety to avoid transmission of the coronavirus.
