Caloocan City gov't investigating complaint of barangay charging P20 for home quarantine passes

The local government of Caloocan City has reminded its residents that home quarantine passes are free of charge. This came after a social media user posted on Facebook that their barangay officials were charging them P20 each before they could get a pass.
 
"Bawat abot po ng pass ay siyang abot din ng 20 pesos," one social media user said.
(For each pass they handed out, they expected P20 to be handed back.)
" ang sagot ng kagawad ng barangay na katabi rin ni Kapitan ng mga oras na 'yun ay para daw po si ID. Bawat isa, bente pesos," the social media user added. (When asked, the barangay official who was right beside the barangay captain at that very moment said it was for the ID. For each one, twenty pesos.)
 
The information has already reached the Caloocan public information office (PIO), who said that it is currently verifying the incident.
 
"The city government won't tolerate that kind of activity during this hard time...   are now checking if it's true yet giving you the assurance that it would be investigated," the PIO said.
