Mayor Vico Sotto said a total ban on tricycles in Pasig will bring more risk to the health situation in the city.
“Nakikita po natin sa ating risk assessment na MAS DELIKADO ang public health situation kung pagbabawalan ang lahat ng tricycle na bumiyahe sa loob ng Pasig.” Sotto said in a tweet on Wednesday.
(Our risk assessment showed that it is more dangerous to our public health situation if we will prohibit tricycle operations in Pasig.)

Sotto said it will affect the health workers and patients who doesn’t have private vehicles to use.
The mayor also said the free rides will not be enough to cater to all health care workers, government personnel, and patients.
“Sana makita po ng mga ginagalang nating lider—na may perspektibo kami sa LGU na maaring di nakikita mula sa taas.” he said. (I hope our respected leaders will realize that the LGUs have perspectives that those above cannot see.)
The local government of Pasig temporarily allowed the limited operation of tricycles to cater to health care workers, government personnel, and patients.
