Adoracion Villanueva, wife of CIBAC partylist representative Bro. Eddie Villanueva and mother of Senator Joel Villanueva, passed away on Tuesday. She was 73.

He also shared a quote from the Bible, saying: "The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
Some senators also took to social media to express their sympathies over the death of the Villanueva matriarch.
"Our deepest condolences and prayers to the family of @senatorjoelv and Gladys; @Bro_Eddie, Mayor Joni, Cong Sherwin, ex-Mayor JonJon, and the JIL family for the loss of Sister Tita Dory," Sen. Sonny Angara tweeted.
"Our prayers are with you and your family, Senator Joel and Brother Eddie. May peace and comfort find you in this difficult time," Sen. Grace Poe said.
Senator Koko Pimentel also offered his "deepest condolences" to the Villanuevas.
Former Senator JV Ejercito posted on Twitter: "My deepest sympathies to the family of my Seatmate @senatorjoelv, Bro. Eddie, Mayor Joni, Cong. Sherwin, and former Mayor Jonjon on the passing of Sister Dori."
The Jesus is Lord (JIL) said Adoracion, whom they call Sister Dory, died at 5:50 p.m. "after going through fatal arrhythmia secondary to septic shock."
"Ate Dory is now resting in the arms of her Maker and Savior," the religious organization said in a series of Twitter post.
The JIL described her as a "spiritual mother, a competent teacher, a prayer warrior, and a model of faith."
"We are grateful that in her 73 years on earth, our lives collided with her, affecting and influencing us in ways we never would forget," it added.
Sen. Joel told reporters that her mother "fought the good fight of faith."
He said he was "humbled and grateful" for the prayers and expressions of support.
