Caloocan 1st District Rep. Along Malapitan confirmed on Wednesday morning that there is one patient admitted at a government hospital in Tala who tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

[After verification with our health officers, we’ve confirmed that there is one case of COVID-19 at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital],” Malapitan said in his Facebook page.

However, Malapitan said that the patient is from San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan and not a resident of Caloocan.

Malapitan also said that there are three persons under investigation who are admitted at the same hospital after showing symptoms of COVID-19. He said, “two of them are from Greenhills, San Juan.”

The local government of Caloocan continues to coordinate with the Department of Hospital. We have also implemented actions to fight against the virus in our city],” he added.

On Wednesday, the DOH released the list of basic information of 33 COVID-19 patients in the country, including a 58-year-old Filipina who is admitted at Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital. She has no travel history and experienced fever, cough and shortness of breath on March 9, according to DOH.
