El Filibusterismo trailer made by Bulacan students reaping accolades on YouTube

Practically a year after submitting it as a “mere” requirement for their Filipino class, a movie trailer for Jose Rizal’s “El Filibusterismo”, the YouTube video, made by Grade 10 students from Bulacan, continues to reap praise and has already been viewed by almost half a million netizens.

Created by Grade 10 students from the Bulacan State University Laboratory High School, the 4 minute-long trailer, leaves the viewer in awe of how well-edited it is, as though made by a professional videographer.
Aside from getting a high grade for this project, the video itself which has been uploaded on YouTube has already gotten more than 400,000 likes.
Also included in the 7 minute-long YouTube video is the behind the scenes footages on the various locations that the trailer was shot.
Most of the on location video footages was shot in Intramuros, Manila, to give it that Spanish-era look.
Some the netizens who have been shocked beyond belief on how such a movie trailer was made by high school students, have even gone as far as nominating it to the Oscars.
With the proper training and access to the necessary equipment, it would come as no surprise, if the members of Grade 10 Kamagong, someday actually achieve just that.
True to the author of the book -- Dr. Jose Rizal – whose literary masterpieces continue to inspire generations, the youth truly are the future of this nation. (Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan).
