CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – Four persons, including an 11-year-old boy and 17-year old female student, died on Saturday, while at least three others were hurt, in road accidents in the municipalities of Silang, Amadeo and Naic and capital Imus, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported on Sunday, March 1.
The series of vehicular and pedestrian accidents in the province happened in just a span of nine hours.
PPO-Public Information Office (PIO) reports said that among the fatalities in the accidents was an 11-year-old Grade VI student and resident of E. Gonzales Street, Barangay San Vicente II, Silang;Â and a 17-year-old female student residing at Barangay Alingaro, General Trias City, Cavite.
Another fatality was identified as Apolonia Marzan Llamas, 55, of Barangay Palangue, Naic;
The accident report in Imus was not immediately available.
The PPO- PIO reports have identified all the victims in the accidents, including those who were injured.
Police have arrested all the drivers of the vehicles that struck the victims, according to the reports.
It was the first time that four successive fatal accident deaths were reported in Cavite in nine hours, PPO reports showed.
The first accident was reported at 7 a.m. and the latest was past 4 p.m., Saturday
The four accidents brought to nine the total road accident deaths in two weeks, starting February 15.
PPO reports showed that vehicular and pedestrian accidents were prevalent in some highways or main roads of the neighboring districts or cities of Bacoor, Imus, Dasmariñas and General Trias and the municipalities of Silang, Naic and Amadeo.
