P40k worth of illegal drugs seized in Mandaluyong, Marikina anti-illegal drugs ops Over P40,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized, while four drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in the cities of Mandaluyong and Marikina on Friday. First to fall to the authorities were Angelito Villapa, 39; Jesser De Chavez, 50; and Alfredo Valenzuela, 43. Police said the arrested suspects were not included in the unified drug watchlist of the authorities. Members of Mandaluyong Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the buy-bust sting against the trio at a house located along Fabella Road in Barangay Addition Hills, Friday afternoon. A police poseur buyer was able to purchase P500 of shabu from the suspects, according to reports reaching Eastern Police District Saturday. After the deal, anti-narcotics operatives nabbed the trio and reportedly seized five sachets of suspected shabu from their possession. The illegal drugs, police said, were worth about P23,800. Authorities also confiscated drug paraphernalia and the marked money from the suspects. Meanwhile, Marikina Police nabbed a 41-year-old woman after she reportedly sold P1000 worth of suspected shabu to an undercover cop. The arrested suspect was identified as Maribel Bardaje, who police said was included in the unified drug watchlist. During the operation, members of Marikina Police seized four sachets of suspected shabu from the Bardaje, a police report read. Police said the illegal drugs were valued to be worth about P20,400. All in all, policemen recovered about P44,200 worth of suspected shabu from two separate buy-bust operations. The four drug suspects are now detained facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.” (Jhon Casinas) Two drug suspects nabbed in Pasay Two suspected drug personalities were nabbed by responding police officers who received an anonymous tip regarding illegal drugs in Pasay City on Saturday. The suspects were identified by members of the Station Intelligence Section as Larry Torcelino, 44, a tricycle driver and Michael Carreon, 30, a pedicab driver. both residents of  Comet St., Don Carlos Village, Brgy. 187, Zone 20, Pasay City. Torcelino and Carreon according to the police, are listed under the illegal drugs watchlist. Investigation showed that the two were arrested at around 2 in the morning along  Comet St., Don Carlos Village, Brgy. 187, Zone 20, Pasay City. Members of the Station Intelligence Section were dispatched along Comet Street to check a report from a concerned citizen regarding two men allegedly involved in illegal drug activities. The police said they chanced the suspects in plain view in possession of illegal drugs. They recovered three pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu, one knot- tied transparent plastic cellophane containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu, two one hundred peso bills and one black pouch bag. The suspects together with the evidence recovered were turned over to Station Drug Enforcement Team for investigation and proper disposition. The seized items believed to be shabu weighing more or less 41.2 grams with an estimated value of P280,000 were turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis. Suspects are now detained at SDEU custodial facility for proper disposition and will be facing drug-related charges. (Dhel Nazario) Over P100k worth of 'shabu' seized from delivery boy in QC Authorities seized P102,000 worth of suspected shabu from a delivery boy in Quezon City Saturday morning. Police arrested Jerome Tataro, 28, who is working for a known online shopping store. Investigation showed that Tataro was traveling aboard his motorcycle in Project 8 in Barangay Toro around 5:30 a.m. when several police officers flagged him down for not wearing a helmet. However, instead of stopping, he sped off, prompting authorities to run after him. He was caught at the corner of Road 23 and Shorthorn after a brief chase, which then led to police discovery of his possession of 15 sachets of suspected shabu when he was frisked. Aside from the alleged drugs, recovered from him was his service motorcycle. Tataro might face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, police said
