A fire razed seven houses in a residential area in Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa Wednesday night, February 26.

According to the Muntinlupa Fire Station and the Muntinlupa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the fire started at 8:38 PM at a house owned by Robert Lorica at 769 Purok 6 in Cupang.
The first alarm was raised at 8:51 PM followed by a second alarm at 9:13 PM. Firefighters put the blaze under control at 9:45 before it was put out at 9:54 PM.
No one was injured in the incident, the fire station said. The fire damaged seven houses with P70,000 in estimated damage to property. The cause of the fire is still under investigation as of press time.
The affected families are temporarily staying at a court in Purok 6, Cupang, said Muntinlupa disaster management chief Erwin Alfonso.
