Pomoy receives hero's welcome in Calauag, Quezon

Pomoy received a hero’s welcome from his wife’s townmates Monday morning at the new municipal town hall, in Barangay Pinagbayanan, here. His wife Joan Paraiso, is a Calauag native. (Balitang LOKAL When in Calauag / Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) (Balitang LOKAL When in Calauag / Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Pomoy, fondly called in this town as Mars, was handed a plaque of recognition based on a Sangguniang Bayan resolution no.11-2020 that was passed during the regular session. Mayor Rosalina Visorde handed the said recognition to Pomoy with the members of municipal councils and other municipal officials. “Isang karangalan para sa bayan ng Calauag ang ipinakita niya para makilala ang bansa sa larangan ng pag-awit”. Si Pomoy ay nagsilbing inspirasyon sa bawat Pilipino lalu’t higit sa mga kabataan na may talento sa pag-awit” (It was an honor for the town of Calauag to represent the country in the field of singing. Pomoy has been an inspiration to every Filipino most especially to young who has a signing talent”. Visorde added. “Nagsilbi din siyang instrumento sa pag-uugnayan ng ibat ibang lahi”, (He has also served as an instrument for various races), she said. While Pomoy told the big crowd that he was very thankful to his “kababayan” for the continuous support while he was competing with America’s Got Talent. He rendered the song his semi-finals piece “The Prayer” and another song Despacito. The short program was followed by a motorcade that paraded the main thoroughfares of this town.
