UST names fellows for 2020 National Writers Workshop

The University of Santo Tomas Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (UST-CCWLS) will be holding its annual National Writers Workshop from April 19 to 26 at the Ridgewood Residences in Baguio City.

The following are the writing fellows:

Poetry in Filipino: Mirick Paala (University of the Philippines-Diliman) and Ralph Fonte (UP Diliman);

Poetry in English: Jhayle Meer (UP Diliman) and Wina Puangco (De La Salle University);

Fiction in Filipino: Nap Arcilla (Catanduanes State Colleges) and Rommel Bonus (UP Diliman);

Fiction in English: Bimbi Arias Jose (UP Diliman), Kimberly Crisologo (UST), and Cat Aquino (Ateneo de Manila University);

Creative nonfiction in Filipino: Neil Cirilo (Central Luzon State University) and Lari Sabangan (West Visayas State University);

Creative nonfiction in English: Carmel Ilustrisimo (UST) and Pietros Patricio (DLSU);

Drama or screenplay in Filipino: Elsie Albis (UST) and Ansherina Jazul (Polytechnic University of the Philippines).

The special guest panelists for this year's workshop are UP University Professor Emeritus  Gemino Abad, screenwriter and poet Jerry Gracio, and novelist Luna Sicat-Cleto.

Serving as workshop director is Nerisa del Carmen Guevara, while Dawn Laurente Marfil is the workshop coordinator.

The rest of the teaching panel is composed of Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo, Ralph Semino Galan, Augusto Antonio Aguila, Joyce Arriola, Ma. Ailil Alvarez, Paul Castillo, Michael Coroza, Joselito Delos Reyes, Jose Mojica, Ned Parfan, Chuckberry Pascual, Ma. Luisa Reyes, John Jack Wigley, and Joselito Zulueta.
