NLEX Corporation is upgrading the roadway lights – installing over a thousand brighter ones, plus more than 600 new signs, of the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (NLEX-SCTEX) to better serve motorists.

“Our aim is to guide motorists to their destinations safely,” stressed NLEX Corporation president and general manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.

Covering both the northbound and southbound directions of NLEX-SCTEX, the signage project replaces the old signs as well as putting up additional road signs for improved visual navigation.

The company also upgraded the signs to go beyond the standards by increasing the font and sign sizes as well as increasing their reflectivity to remain highly visible during nighttime. The tollway firm expects to complete the project in May, this year.

In another move to promote road safety, NLEX Corporation will replace 1,078 interchange and median LED lighting from NLEX Balintawak to Tabang this month.
