BIR requires employers to submit info of newly-hired workers

(Manila Bulletin File Photo) BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay released Revenue Regulations No. 1-2020 to collect the right amount of income tax from newly-hired employees. The guideline states that employers shall furnish the concerned employee with Registration Information Update (BIR Form No. 1905). The employee shall fill up the form to include changes in employment, multiple employment status, and amount of compensation. The employer will then make the necessary adjustments to the withholding tax of the employee based on the new information. The form shall be accomplished in triplicate with the original copy furnished to the revenue district office where the employee is registered.
