Colonel Moises Vilaceran, Pasig Police chief, said that as of 7 p.m. there were more than 6, 000 people that joined the festivity this Sunday.
"We have recorded no untoward incident The event was very peaceful and successful," he said during an interview.
Mayor Vico Sotto gave candies to the devotees as their floats passed by the stage.
The devotees brought their images of the Child Jesus in different size and colors.
One of the floats that stood out was the floral float of Barangay San Antonio which had white orchids and yellow Chrysanthemums. There were also dancers clad in regal costumes that resemble Cebu's Sinulog dancers.
In an interview, Barangay San Antonio Chairman Raymond Lising said Bambino Festival was very unifying as it brought together all the barangays of Pasig to honor the Messiah.
“This event brings us all together as a one big happy family here in Pasig. It is also our way of showing how thankful we are to God,” he said.
“The Sto. Nino teaches us to be a child again---forgiving, selfless, innocent, obedient, simple, slow to anger, and all about love. Let us replicate the example of the Child Jesus,” Lising added.
Some of the floats were decorated with candies and other sweets like donuts. Other residents gave away candies and other sweets to children.
