Google Philippines makes map of evacuation centers in Batangas

By Andrea Aro Google Philippines has created a consolidated map of evacuation centers in Batangas province to make it easy for evacuees, aid workers, donors, and other interested parties to locate them.
To see the map, go to Google.com and search for "Evacuation centers for the Taal eruption." The map is also available in Google Maps and on their Facebook page. Google collaborated with volunteer mappers and the Batangas Public Information Office to create the map, Google Philippines said in a statement. Over 57,000 individuals have been displaced in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) region following Taal Volcano’s eruption on Jan. 12.
