Alleged drug personality in Caraga region falls

RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – An allegedly recalibrated drug personality in Caraga region finally fell into the hands of the law in Purok 11, Barangay Poblacion, in Trento town, Agusan del Sur province last January 15. Brig. Gen. Joselito T. Esquivel, Jr., regional director of Caraga Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) said that suspect Anthony C. Deles, 42, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday by combined elements of Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Trento Municipal Police Station (MPS), Agusan del Sur Provincial Intelligence Branch, Agusan del Sur 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), 1303rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 13. The suspect was reportedly listed as sixth among the 10 Recalibrated Illegal Drug Personalities who already fell into the hands of Caraga police, claimed Esquivel. “The remaining four targets are the next subjects for operation of our DEUs,” the region’s police official told The Manila Bulletin on Friday. Confiscated during buy-bust operation were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P 35,400.00; a sachet of shabu weighing one gram and DDB value of P11,800; the P500-bill used as buy bust money and P270 in different denominations. The suspect will be facing charges for Violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, he said. Esquivel commended the men and women of PNP Caraga for the significant accomplishments we have for the first 15 days of the year 2020. “Rest assured that Caraganons will continue to live in a safer and more peaceful community,” he added.
