The new wage is based on the classification of cities and municipalities in Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and the Islands of  Siquijor, Bantayan and Camotes under Wage Order # ROVII-22 that was approved on November 29, 2019 and will take effect 15 days after publication.

According to the RTWPB-7, the wage increase will most likely be implemented this year because employers need to update and reconcile their financial records and annual budgets.
