By Analou De Vera The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned the public against the purchase and consumption of three unregistered food supplements. FRANKFURT STRONG Qianlietong Capsules 380 mg, FRANKFURT STRONG Sugerolin Capsules 380 mg, and FRANKFURT STRONG Permolex Capsules 380 mg (FDA) The FDA in its advisory no. 2019-244 said that its post-marketing surveillance showed that the three products does not have Certificate of Product Registration. The unregistered products were Frankfurt Strong Qianlietong Capsules 380 mg, Frankfurt Strong Sugerolin Capsules 380 mg, and Frankfurt Strong Permolex Capsules 380 mg. "Since these unregistered food supplements have not gone through evaluation process of the FDA, the agency cannot assure their quality and safety. The consumption of such violative products may pose health risks to consumers," the FDA said. "In light of the foregoing, the public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative products. Moreover, the public is advised to always check if a food product or food supplements is registered with the FDA," it added. The concerned establishments were also warned not to distribute the said products until they secured the proper authorization. "All FDA Regional Field Offices and Regulatory Enforcement Units, in coordination with law enforcement agencies and local government units, are requested to ensure that violative products are not sold or made available in the market or areas of jurisdiction," said the FDA.
