By Ellalyn De Vera-Ruiz  Despite criticisms, President Duterte’s public satisfaction rating has reached a new record-high in the second quarter of 2019, Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results showed. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (TOTO LOZANO / PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (TOTO LOZANO / PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) In the survey conducted among 1,200 adult Filipinos from June 22 to 26, SWS found 80 percent of Filipinos satisfied, 9 percent undecided, and 12 percent dissatisfied with the performance of President Duterte. This translates to a net satisfaction rating of +68 (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied), classified by SWS as “very good.” SWS pointed out that this is President Duterte’s new personal record-high, surpassing the previous record of +66 in March 2019 and June 2017, although it remained “very good.” It attributed the two-point rise in President Duterte's net satisfaction rating from March 2019 to June 2019 to an increase in the rest of Luzon, offset by declines in Mindanao, Visayas, and Metro Manila.
