Metro League U13: Makati edges Caloocan

by Ernest Hernandez Neil Albequibal scored the game-winning shot as Makati completed a fourth quarter rally to beat Caloocan, 56-54, in the Metro League U13 Division at the San Juan Gym on Sunday. Albequibal scored the go-ahead layup with 13 seconds left as the Junior Skyscrapers came back from 12 points down to stun the Junior Supremos. Mykhail Alpuerto had a chance to force overtime, but he muffed a teardrop attempt in the final play of the game. Albequibal added 12 points, eight rebounds, one steal, and one block. Alpuerto top-scored the Junior Supremos with nine points, six rebounds, and four steals.
