Two female nursing graduates led the 5,059 passers of the June 2019 Nurse Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Saturday.

Jeremiah Paula Austria Caceres of Angeles University Foundation and Almira Louise Olete Hinsoy of West Visayas State University-La Paz both topped the board examination with a rating of 87.40 percent.
Dennise Kim Marie Bulquiren Luig, also from West Visayas State University-La Paz, ranked second with a score of 87.20 percent.
Beryl Joshua Fernandez Borja (Mountain View College), Michaelle Christiane Cabag Con-el (West Visayas State University-La Paz), Ma. Ana Christina Tantengco (University of the Assumption), and Geevee Naganag Ventula (Saint Paul University-Tuguegarao) all shared the third spot with a rating of 87 percent.
West Visayas State University-La Paz, Xavier University and Silliman University ranked first among the top performing schools, with a 100-percent passing rate.
The Nursing Licensure Exam was taken by 9,691 examinees in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga this month.
The exam was given by the Board of Nursing led by Glenda S. Arquiza, Chairman; Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Gloria B. Arcos, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Añonuevo, Members.
PRC has yet to announce the date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of new nurses.
