The fifth Most Wanted Person of Buruanga Police in Aklan was arrested in Bacoor City, Cavite last Monday afternoon.
The suspect, identified as John Rupert Samillano alias Gary Semillano, 18, was the subject of manhunt operation conducted by the elements of Manila Police District (MPD).
He was nabbed while at Phase 1 of Soldier's Hills IV Subdivision at around 2 p.m. on Apr. 8.
Based on the arrest warrant issued by Kalibo Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 9 Judge Montalid Patnubay, the suspect is facing a homicide case and recommended to post P40, 000 bail for temporary liberty.
It was learned that the suspect moved to Green Valley, a village right outside Soldier's Hills IV, to hide after committing the alleged crime.

At least P170,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized from three drug suspects during a buy-bust in Novaliches, Quezon City on Monday night. Police Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas, chief of Quezon City Police Station 4 (PS-4), identified the suspects as Allan Aquino, 43, Raul Guemo, 25, and Mae Dela Cruz, 28, all residents of Barangay Culiat in Novaliches. Police said the three suspects, including a certain Joel Leal, were included in the drug watchlist of their barangay and were tagged in peddling drugs in their area. Personnel of PS-4 Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a drug sting against the group and transacted with them at No. 70 Purok 3-A Luzon Avenue in Barangay Culiat around 7 p.m. After the deal, authorities immediately collared the three but Leal managed to escape and is now a subject for the manhunt. Seized from the suspects were 25 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P170,000, several shabu paraphernalia, a weighing scale, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money. Policemen also recovered from Aquino a caliber .38 pistol and some ammunition. Arrested suspects are now under police custody and were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.An additional case for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition was also filed against Allan Aquino. A motorcycle driver and his back rider were killed in an early morning road accident on Tuesday in Las Piñas City. Las Piñas City Police Chief, Police Col. Simnar Gran, identified the driver as John Paul Loteriña, while the back rider was identified as George Lequigan, both residents of Las Piñas City. The backrider was brought to the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center at 2:30 in the morning but was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver died while being revived by doctors. In the report submitted by Gran to the Southern Police District, the incident occurred at around 1:50 in the morning at J. Aguilar Avenue, in front of Lemon Square, Barangay Pamplona Tres, Las Piñas City. Police said that Loteriña was driving a red Honda Beat motorcycle registered under a Joel Loteriña. The two were traversing the stretch of Jorge Aguilar Avenue coming from the Alabang-Zapote Road. Gran said that witnesses saw that the motorcycle was already swerving prior to the accident. Upon reaching a curved part of the road, the driver lost control of the vehicle causing them to hit the gutter. Lequigian according to police, was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries while Loteriña despite wearing one, was also injured. (Dhel Nazario) 12-year-old girl molested by father's drinking buddy A 12-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her father’s drinking buddy in Valenzuela City on Monday morning. The Valenzuela City Police (VCP) arrested Ronel Belano, 29, construction worker, resident of the city. Investigation showed that the victim was sleeping inside her room in Punturin, Valenzuela when the incident happened. Police said that the victim was awakened at around 1:30 a.m. after she felt that Belano, who went inside her room, was kissing her and touching her private parts. The victim immediately pushed the suspect and managed to escape after she jumped out of the window. She then told her father of the incident. Her father immediately sought assistance from VCP Station Precinct 7 where he identified Belano as his drinking buddy. The police brought the suspect to the hospital for examination where he was tested positive for alcohol. Police said that the suspect violated the R.A. 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law. (Joseph Almer Pedrajas) 54-year-old man arrested for molesting his 15-year-old stepdaughter in Paranaque A 54-year-old man was arrested on Monday, after allegedly molesting his 15-year-old stepdaughter multiple times inside their home in Parañaque City. Police identified the suspect as Danilo Gamit, a tricycle driver, and the stepfather of the victim. The victim, "Rhea" is a Grade 9 student. Gamit was arrested on Monday inside his house at Bagong Parañaque Homes C5, Barangay La Huerta, Parañaque City. The arrest stemmed from the complaint of the victim and her aunt who reported the incident to Barangay La Huerta and asked the assistance of the Police Community Precinct 3 of the Parañaque City Police. Police said that there has been a series of sexual abuses done by the suspect to the victim. When the victim's mother left, the suspect would lock the house and undress the victim before doing the said act. The arrested suspect is now under the custody of the Parañaque City Police and will be facing charges in violation of RA 8353 or The Anti-Rape Law of 1997. (Dhel Nazario) Body of a student who attended a friend's party and went swimming found in a river in Marikina A body of a student, who reportedly attended his friend’s birthday party and went swimming with them on Sunday night, was found floating in a river in Marikina City Monday morning. Police identified the victim as 14-year-old Jhon Paul Diagan of Barangay Parang, Marikina City. Initial investigation showed that at around 7:30 a.m. Monday, the body of Diagan was found floating along Nangka River in Marikina City by a concerned citizen. The rescue team fished out the body and rushed it to Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Siony Diagan, mother of the victim, told probers that around 8 p.m. Sunday, his son asked for her permission to attend the birthday party of his friend and that they will go swimming in the said river. P/Cpl Rocky Boy Maramag, case investigator, said they are still waiting for the result of the autopsy to determine if there was a foul play committed in the victim’s death. “Pero, as per the concerned citizen, drowned,” Maramag said. The body of Diagan was brought to Ka Andres Memorial Service and referred to Crime Laboratory for autopsy, police said. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas) Chinese national mauled by the management of the company he was working at in Pasig A Chinese national was injured after he was allegedly mauled by the management of the company he was working at due to his absences in Pasig City Monday. Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Fan Xing Ji. Initial investigation showed that Felomino Guevarra saw Fan with multiple injuries on his body on the corner of Soliven and MRR Streets in Barangay Manggahan, Pasig City around 8:30 a.m. Monday. Guevarra sought assistance from the authorities and brought Fan to the Pasig City General Hospital for medical treatment. Police said they have to get an interpreter when they interviewed Fan since he cannot speak other languages other than Chinese. According to the interpreter, Fan is an employee of Yan Shen Ji Tuan and that he was allegedly mauled by the management of the company due to his unjustified absences, police said. The management also took Fan’s documents including his passport, the interpreter told probers. Meanwhile, the Pasig City Police said they are now coordinating with the Chinese Embassy regarding the incident. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas)
