A group of youths together with Leberato Mercado, of Barangay Muzon this city, told Manila Bulletin the scene should be remembered by every Filipinos, because it symbolizes purity, genuine and a perfect love as well as the dramatic black veil unveiling by a girl dressed like an angel that signaled the end of the Virgin Mary’s grieving.
The group of youths said that they are hoping Easter Sunday will serve as a reminder not only for those persons involved in nefarious activities like illegal drugs, but to all government officials and every Filipinos to change for good.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado thanked the roving assistance of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Oplan Lakbay Alalay 2019 of the LGUs for their effort in securing the safety of travelers.
Alvarado said that people were given first aid due to the intense heat last Maundy Thursday and Good Friday when thousands of devotees, including local and foreign tourists, flocked at the pilgrimage sites in Bulacan province.
