CEBU CITY – Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) assured Bohol Gov. Edgar Chatto the Central Bank project in Bohol will push through allaying fears it might be stalled after the death of BSP governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. in last February.

(REUTERS/Romeo Ranoco / MANILA BULLETIN) BSP Deputy Governor for Corporate Services Sector Maria Almasara Cyd Tuaño-Amador made the assurance and told Chatto that the BSP Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) was in the procurement process for the consultants for the architectural/engineering design and construction management of the project. Amador wrote Chatto that upon award of contracts to the consultants, the design will start and, thereafter the procurement process for the general contractor that will build the structure. “We are doing our best to expedite the completion of the project,” Amador assured in her letter response to Chatto Espenilla led the project groundbreaking in Tinago, Dauis, late last year. A full BSP branch costing P200 million or more will rise in Tinago, Dauis not far from the Bohol Panglao International Airport.
