The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, South Korea has recognized 11 community leaders for their contribution in promoting the welfare of Filipinos.

Outgoing Ambassador Raul Hernandez awarded the 11 at the 1st Leaders Forum for 2019 organized by the embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) in Seoul.
The awardees are radio DJ Gennie Kim, Father Alfredo Africa Jr., Pastor Ariel Bernardo, Irene Curimao, Pastor Jones Galang, Father Jude Genovia, Danny Guerra, Fe Gimarino-Kim, Sister Luz Olalia, Grace Tadili Park, and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF).
Hernandez lauded the Filipino leaders for “their exemplary work and contribution in the fulfillment of our mandate to further strengthen bilateral relations between the Philippines and South Korea and promote the rights and protect the welfare of the Filipinos in this beautiful country.”
Consular, Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) and labor updates were tackled at the forum attended by 116 Filipino community leaders.
The leaders also thanked Hernandez for his work and accomplishments as Philippine ambassador to Seoul since 2014.
