A song by United Arab Emirates-based Filipino band Skwalado got airplay on a radio station in Dubai.

"Tinawagan ako ni DJ Alfred Ryce n’ung December 21. Then after ng interview, dun nila ipini-play yung single ng 'Malayo'," drummer Gilbert Magat said in an interview with GMA News.
(The radio station's disc jockey called me. After the interview, they played our song "Malayo.")
The pop rock band is composed of four overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the UAE: Ara Palomar, Michael Hernandez, Jonathan Desales, and Gilbert Magat.
Skwalado also performed at "Pasko sa Konsulado," a Philippine Consulate Christmas event for OFWs in Dubai.
