Hong Kong Disneyland being pushed as MICE venue

If you are a travel agent or someone in the corporate world assigned to organize MICE or Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions, you should consider holding them at Hong Kong Disneyland, the happiest place on earth. This was the subject of the recent MICE luncheon that was hosted by Ark Travel Express and Hong Kong Disneyland at the Makati Shangrila Hotel. In his presentation, Jed Ernest Uytiepo, Deputy Business Development Manager of Hong Kong Disneyland, noted that with 1,500 hotel rooms and the various packages they have to offer, MICE participants will definitely have a memorable experience in Disneyland. Hong Kong Disneyland being pushed as MICE venue Hong Kong Disneyland being pushed as MICE venue “We have more than 100 entertainment shows and attractions in our world class theme park, three hotels offering 1,750 guest rooms, award winning catering services, flexible and event ready venues and all kinds of tailored meeting packages,” Uytiepo noted. “All these facilities make Hong Kong Disneyland one of the leading event destinations in Asia.” HKDL has three themed hotels – the lavish Victorian palace nestled along the shores of the South China Sea, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel; the exotic Disney Explorers Lodge surrounded by the wonders of nature and diverse cultures; and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel in the glitz and grandeur of classic Hollywood. The dedicated Conference Center with three pillar-free ballrooms can be configured for events of any size. The outdoor lawns and garden areas are ideal for al fresco networking, cocktail parties or corporate dinners. The latest attraction to open at Hong Kong Disneyland is its second Marvel themed attraction – Ant Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle. Experience the excitement of shrinking down to the size of an ant as you fight alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp to prevent classified S.H.I.E.L.D. data from falling in the hands of Hyrdra. “We also have packages where you can event rent out an entire theme park for that very special and memorable MICE for your participants,” Uytiepo said. “Start preparing for next year and book now!” In her opening remarks, Maria Paz R. Alberto, President of Ark Travel Express Inc., advised that if there are plans to go to Hong Kong Disneyland, it is best to start planning early because of the many visitors that Hong Kong Disneyland receives. “Plan early so that you will be able to get the best deals for your MICE,” Alberto advised. “There is so much you can do at Hong Kong Disneyland and you will definitely get your money’s worth and so much more.” Ark Travel Express recently brought their team and other travel agents to Hong Kong Disneyland for a visit. “Hong Kong is very safe. In fact, the team enjoyed the park immensely because they were able to take all the rides. If you are planning to visit Hong Kong, do it now while accommodations are very affordable,” Alberto shared. Also present during the luncheon meeting were representatives from Cathay Pacific, Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific who have daily flights to Hong Kong. Five round trip tickets to Hong Kong were also raffled off during the event.
